We didn't set out to build a company. We just wanted our friends to get interviews.

Swiff It started as a side project born out of frustration — the kind you feel when you watch someone brilliant get ghosted by an application they were perfectly qualified for. Not once. Over and over.

Here's the thing about job searching in 2026: the game is rigged and nobody tells you the rules. You can have 10 years of experience, glowing references, and exactly the right skill set — and still never hear back. Not because you weren't qualified, but because an algorithm decided your resume didn't use the right keywords, the right format, or the right structure.

We saw this happen to people we cared about. A software engineer with 8 years at top companies, applying to roles she was overqualified for — radio silence. A marketing lead who had doubled revenue at two startups — automated rejection in 48 hours. A recent grad with a killer portfolio and three internships — couldn't get past the screening stage.

The common thread? It wasn't their experience. It was how their experience was presented.

So we started tinkering. What if we could use AI to translate a person's real experience into the exact language that ATS systems are scanning for — without fabricating a single detail? Not a resume writer that invents things. A resume translator that bridges the gap between how you describe your work and how algorithms parse it.

The first version was a mess. But it worked. And the callbacks started coming.

From weekend project to public beta

Late 2025

The frustration

Watching talented friends get ghosted by applications they were clearly qualified for. The same story on repeat: apply, silence, repeat.

December 2025

The experiment

A weekend project to see if AI could rewrite a resume to match ATS expectations — without making anything up. The first version was ugly, but it worked.

January 2026

The results

Friends started getting callbacks. Not one or two — most of them. The difference wasn't their experience. It was how that experience was presented.

February 2026

The mission

If this worked for a handful of people in our circle, it should work for anyone. Swiff It launched in public beta.

March 2026

The toolkit

Added cover letter generation, recruiter heatmaps, salary intelligence, and a full application tracker. One platform for the entire job search.

April 2026

The MVP

Swiff It goes live. A complete AI-powered job application toolkit — from resume optimization to offer negotiation, built for real job seekers.

Give every qualified candidate a fair shot

75% of resumes are rejected by ATS systems before a human ever reads them. That's not a statistic to us — that's a person who did everything right and still didn't get through. A single parent switching careers. A veteran translating military experience to civilian terms. A first-gen college grad who doesn't know the unwritten rules.

The hiring system was designed for employers, and that's fine — but somewhere along the way, it started punishing candidates for not knowing how to game it. We think that's wrong.

Our mission is simple: make sure the algorithm never filters out someone who deserves to be seen. Not by gaming the system — by closing the presentation gap between what you've done and what the machine is scanning for.

The lines we won't cross

Building an AI resume tool comes with real ethical responsibilities. Here's where we draw the line.

Never Fabricate

Our AI will never invent a credential, inflate a metric, or add a skill you don't have. Every enhancement is grounded in what you've actually done. That's not a feature — it's a line we won't cross.

Always Transparent

Every change the AI makes is tagged with a confidence level: High, Medium, or Verify. You can see exactly what changed, why it changed, and decide whether to keep it. No black boxes.

Your Data, Your Rules

Your resume is some of the most personal data you have — your career, your ambitions, your identity. It's encrypted, never sold, never used for training, and deletable at any time. Period.

Candidate-First

We don't sell to recruiters. We don't sell to employers. We work for you. Every product decision starts with one question: does this help the candidate?

Honest AI

When we're not sure about a suggestion, we say so. Changes the AI is less confident about get a "Verify" flag. We'd rather give you fewer perfect suggestions than more questionable ones.

Outcomes Over Vanity

We don't optimize for impressive-looking scores. We optimize for one thing: getting your resume past the ATS and into the hands of a real human who can appreciate what you bring.

Built by people who've been ghosted too

We're a small team of engineers, designers, and career coaches who got tired of watching qualified people get filtered out by algorithms. We built Swiff It because we believe your experience should speak for itself.

AI should make you more you — not less

There's a version of AI resume tools that we could have built — one that invents impressive-sounding bullet points, inflates metrics, and tells you what recruiters want to hear. It would probably convert better. It would definitely be easier to build.

We chose the harder path. Our AI enhances how your experience is presented, not what your experience is. It takes the work you've actually done and translates it into the language that gets past algorithms and resonates with recruiters.

When we're not confident about a suggestion, we flag it. When a change feels like a stretch, we tell you. We'd rather you get an interview and actually deserve the job than trick your way into a role that doesn't fit.

Because here's what we've learned: the best resumes don't exaggerate. They clarify. And clarity is what gets people hired.

If you've ever felt invisible in the job market

Career changers

You have transferable skills but your resume doesn't speak the new industry's language yet.

Recent graduates

You've got internships, projects, and potential — but the ATS doesn't know what to do with it.

Experienced professionals

You've been doing the work for years. Your resume just hasn't kept up.

Non-native English speakers

You're brilliant in your field. The AI helps you sound that way on paper.

People re-entering the workforce

A gap on your resume doesn't mean a gap in your abilities.

Anyone who deserves better

If you've ever hit submit and wondered if anyone actually read it — we built this for you.

We're just getting started

Swiff It is in public beta. The product is live, people are getting interviews, and we're shipping improvements every week. But there's a lot more we want to build.

Cover letter generation. LinkedIn profile optimization. Interview prep powered by the same AI that knows your resume inside out. A job board that actually matches you to roles instead of making you scroll through hundreds of irrelevant listings.

We're building the toolkit we wish existed when our friends were job hunting. And if you're reading this page, there's a good chance we're building it for you too.
