This Refund Policy describes how refunds are handled for paid subscriptions to Swiff It (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at swiff.it (the “Service”). All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

1. Overview

We want every Swiff It user to feel confident in their purchase. If you're not satisfied with the Service, we offer a straightforward refund process. Our goal is to be fair and transparent — no hidden conditions, no runaround.

2. Subscription Refunds

If you subscribe to a Swiff It Pro monthly plan ($16/mo) and are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment. This applies to your initial subscription payment only.

To request a refund, simply email us or use our contact page. No justification essay required — just let us know.

3. Prorated Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:

  • Your access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • No partial or prorated refunds are issued for the remaining time in your billing cycle after the 7-day refund window has passed.
  • Your account automatically reverts to the free tier when the billing period ends.

4. Annual Plan Refunds

If you subscribe to the annual plan ($144/yr) and are unsatisfied, you may request a prorated refund within 30 days of your payment. The refund amount will be calculated as the total payment minus the cost of any full months used at the monthly rate ($16/mo).

For example, if you request a refund after 2 full months, you would receive $144 minus $32 (2 months at $16) = $112 refunded. After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable but you may cancel to prevent renewal.

5. Free Tier

The Swiff It free tier does not involve any payment, so no refunds are applicable. You can use the free tier indefinitely with no financial commitment.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us through one of the following methods:

Please include the email address associated with your Swiff It account and a brief reason for the refund request. This helps us improve the Service, but a detailed explanation is not required.

7. Processing Time

Once approved, refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days. The refund will be credited back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional few days for the refund to appear on your statement.

8. Exceptions

We reserve the right to decline a refund request in the following circumstances:

  • Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or credit card company instead of contacting us first, we may be unable to process a refund and your account may be suspended pending resolution.
  • Abuse of refund policy: Repeated refund requests across multiple accounts or billing cycles, or any pattern that suggests abuse of this policy, may result in refund denial and account termination.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. The updated policy will apply to all future purchases and renewal payments made after the effective date of the change.
